About Me

I founded Neato Software in 2015 to make intuitive interfaces for the web. Prior to leaving the corporate world, I had a 10-year career of finding insights in data. I have helped organizations realize millions in savings and achieve strategic growth. I'm a big believer in "always be learning" and "keep it simple, stupid".

Career Achievements

1. My greatest achievement was successfully building a data warehouse for Ameristar Casinos and introducing business intelligence software that helped hundreds of users make better data-based decisions.

2. I helped right-size inaccuracies in calculating theoretical win—a measurement used by casinos to estimate a player's true value—generating over $1.0M in annual cost savings.

3. I regularly conducted analyses that evaluated direct marketing A/B split tests, assisted in optimizing revenues via slot floor arrangement, and performed behavioral analyses on customer activity data.

4. I spent considerable time evaluating and recommending development and acquisition targets, including Ameristar’s $910M proposed casino development in Springfield, MA.

5. Throughout my career I led multiple analyst teams in shaping enterprise analysis standards.

6. In multiple years I coordinated the annual operating budget and pondered why companies waste so much time on budgeting.

Nearly half of my time at university was spent studying abroad in Japan, Austria, and Hong Kong. Living abroad taught me how to be open-minded and adapt to change.
